Web enabled call centre

Case Vetting System developed by Inform Link is an Intranet system for personal injury claim management.

Company and Circumstances
LawLine Solicitors is a private English firm of attorneys. The company provides legal services and has over 1,000 active clients. Claim suppliers collect the claims from people seeking legal advice and forward them to LawLine Solicitors. The company considers the cases, employing external expert opinion, if necessary.

Every case coming to the company needs a decision as to whether it will be accepted or rejected. In some cases the decision cannot be made immediately and may require additional information from the claimant. After entering initial details the solicitor makes his decision.

The Case Vetting claims control system combines functionality of the web enabled call centre and the extensive database of custom design.

Case Vetting System
One of the unique features of the system we developed is customisable risk assessment module. Risk assessment form uses point-scoring system to estimate the overall risk value. The Case Review screen provides the case details together with a calculated risk value. New Risk Assessment factors could be added, their weight points modified. Other system preset parameters are editable as well.

The relational database management system keeps track of all the calls, cases and clients.

The system keeps track of the cases. Pending cases and grouped into corresponding list. Progress List indicates the status of each case and allows linking with Proclaim system. The system may generate case reports for a specific date, listing accepting and pending cases separately. Statistical report for a time period is useful to evaluate the performance of each supplier.

The Cheque Printing subsystem facilitates circulation of documents within the company.

Cheque Printing Subsystem
Most of the cases considered by the company require paying some money to third parties. So the solicitor conducting the case often needs to draw cheques on behalf of a company. These cheques may need authorisation from the supervisor. Authorised cheque requests goes to the print operator to be printed on standard cheque sheet. Thus the company needs a solution allowing automation of this process.

The Cheque Printing subsystem allows solicitors or case handlers to prepare cheque requests and send them for supervisor consideration and authorisation.

The system includes the unique customisable risk assessment module, user subscription module and e-payments management.

The Cheque Printing provides three different user roles each having its own functions: ordinary user, supervisor, and print operator.

Ordinary users post their cheque requests to the system. The system provides consistent view of all cheques passed through it and keeps history of all actions taken.

Supervisor can authorise the requested cheques. Accepted cheques are being printed, exactly matching the fields of a real chequebook. Others may be rejected or deferred for future consideration. Supervisor manages user accounts. He can also impose cheque amount limit for different users, and even allow their cheques to go straight to printer without authorisation.
To top of page. Case Vetting system developed by Inform Link is a good example of web enabled call center which utuilizes the relational database management system.
