Our client operates and provides a managed office facility.
The company provides telephone services to several offices located in the building, connecting them to the national telephone network via local PBX. Once a month the company issues invoices to tenants for all telephone calls made from their extensions.
Circumstances
Local PBX provides simple text report that includes the number called, call time and duration and extension number. The company has a list of call prices, which may contain literally thousands of tariff variations. Prices depend on the number called, time of day and day of week. In order to produce the invoice the responsible person must determine the cost of every call in accordance with the price table.
This work used to be done manually.
